This policy explains what personal data HostZelon (“HostZelon”, “we”) collects when you use hostzelon.com and our services, why we collect it and what choices you have.
1. Who Is Responsible
HostZelon is responsible for your personal data. Contact: info@hostzelon.com.
2. Data We Collect
- Account details: name, email address, phone number and company (optional), and your password (stored only as a secure one-way hash).
- Billing details: orders, invoices, wallet transactions and payment references. Card payments are handled by our payment provider; we never see or store your full card number. For bank transfers we may keep the payment proof you upload.
- Domain contact details: the registrant information required by the registry when you register or transfer a domain.
- Support and contact messages: what you send us through tickets, email or the contact form.
- Technical data: IP address, browser information and security logs (for example login attempts and account activity), used to protect your account and our systems.
- Service data: the files, databases and email you store on our servers. We only access it when needed to provide support, keep services secure or meet a legal obligation.
3. How We Use It
- to create and manage your account and set up the services you order;
- to process payments, send invoices and renewal reminders;
- to register and manage domain names with the relevant registry;
- to answer your questions and provide support;
- to prevent fraud and abuse and keep our services secure;
- to meet legal and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal data and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
4. Cookies and Local Storage
We only use cookies and storage that the site needs to work:
- Session cookie — keeps you logged in and holds your cart; deleted when your session ends.
- user_currency — remembers the currency you selected.
- hz_theme (cookie and browser storage) — remembers whether you chose the dark or light theme.
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Who We Share Data With
We share data only with providers that help us run the service, and only what they need:
- Payment providers such as PayFast and our banks, to process your payments;
- Domain registrars and registries, to register and manage your domains (registrant details may appear in public WHOIS where privacy protection is not available);
- Hosting and datacenter providers that supply our servers and VPS infrastructure;
- Our email provider, to send account and billing emails;
- Google Fonts, which delivers the website font (your browser connects to Google's servers to download it).
We may also disclose data when required by law or to protect our rights and users.
6. How Long We Keep It
We keep account data while your account is open. Invoices and payment records are kept for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Security logs and contact-form messages are kept for a limited time and then deleted. Data of terminated hosting services is removed from our servers, and remaining copies disappear from backups as they rotate.
7. Security
Passwords are stored as one-way hashes, the site is served over HTTPS, sensitive settings are encrypted, and access to customer data is limited to what is needed to run the service. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong, unique password.
8. Your Rights
You can view and update most of your details in the client area. You can also ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete your account and data we no longer need to keep. Depending on where you live (for example under the EU GDPR), you may have further rights, including the right to complain to your data protection authority. Email info@hostzelon.com and we will reply within 30 days.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the current version. Important changes will be announced by email or on this site.
